How Ballard Down would be affected
Ballard Down has amazing all-round views over Swanage, the Isle of WIght and the coastline to Poole Harbour. Being so high, it is quite possible to see well over 50km in clear conditions. Seen from the top of the ridge, the wind farm would sit between Swanage and the Isle of WIght, spanning 39 degrees of the horizon. At night, navigation lights on the turbines would be visible on what is currently a dark southern horizon.
